Lake County Game Postponed, Doubleheader Set for July 9

(FORT WAYNE, IN) Due to inclement weather today's scheduled game between the Lake County Captains and Fort Wayne TinCaps has been postponed. Saturday July 9 will now see a doubleheader at Parkview Field with game one beginning at 5:35 p.m.

Lake County and Fort Wayne were set to have first pitch at 12:05 p.m today. A storm last night, removed the tarp off the diamond and rain poured on the infield making the field unplayable at first pitch time. With rain also forecasted for later in the day, the game was officially called at 10:10 a.m.

Saturday's doubleheader will consist of two seven-inning games. It will be the tenth doubleheader of the season for the Captains.

Lake County and Fort Wayne next play tomorrow Thursday July 7, with first pitch at 7:05 p.m.
