Butler Placed on Injured List, Brito Rejoins Lugnuts

Butler, 21, was removed from Monday night's Lugnuts/Great Lakes Loons contest following a successful steal of second base. He leads the Lugnuts with 41 runs scored while hitting an overall .263 in 69 games with 15 doubles, three triples, eight home runs and ten steals.

Brito, 22, was originally signed by the A's as an international free agent on July 2, 2016, at age 16 from San Pedro de Macoris, Dominican Republic. He played in 19 games for the Lugnuts in 2021, showcasing sterling defense and hitting .094 with one double, five RBIs and three steals. This season he has played five games in the Arizona Complex League, five games in the Double-A Texas League, and most recently, 13 games in the California League for Stockton, where he was batting .191 with a .750 OPS thanks to one double, one triple and two home runs, driving in seven runs.

An updated Lugnuts roster is attached with 27 active players and six players on the Injured List.
