Hagerstown Suns News Release
Eastlake, OH: The Suns lack of offense came back to bite them again as they lost 3-1 on Tuesday to Lake County. The Suns are hitting .220 in July and have dropped to 6-12 in the month after their 10th loss in 11 games. Hagerstown (8-17) managed to take a 1-0 lead in the second inning on a Drew Butera RBI double which scored Leivi Ventura. Deolis Guerra took a no-hitter into the fifth, but it was broken up by PJ Hiser with a two out single. Guerra (3-6) got the loss, his third in a row, but went longer than any previous outing this year when he gave up three runs, two earned over seven innings, and struck out eight.
The Suns are off to Lexington to face the Legends for four games from Wednesday through Saturday. All game times are at 7:05pm. LHP Jonathan Niese (8-6) goes in game one. The Suns staff host the 2nd Annual Beer Tasting Festival at Municipal Stadium on Thursday, July 20th from 6-9pm while the team is away in Lexington. There will be live music and over 25 Breweries participating. Call 301-791-6266 or log on to www.hagerstownsuns.com more info.
