LAFC Travels to Face the Vancouver Whitecaps on MLS Decision Day 2023, Saturday, October 21

The Los Angeles Football Club (LAFC) travels to face the Vancouver Whitecaps on Decision Day on Saturday, Oct. 21 at 6 p.m. PT at BC Place. The match will be broadcast free on MLS Season Pass on Apple TV, 710 AM ESPN Los Angeles, ESPN LA app and 980 La Mera Mera (ESP).

Saturday's contest will feature the final regular season match of 2023 as LAFC takes on the Whitecaps for a second time in the MLS season. The Black & Gold fell to Vancouver 3-2 on June 24 in the only other regular season match this year. LAFC had previously faced the Whitecaps in Concacaf Champions League play defeating them 3-0 in both the home and away legs.

Going into the final match of the MLS Regular Season LAFC forward Dénis Bouanga leads the league in the Golden Boot race with 19 goals . In just his first full season in MLS, Bouanga could become the first Gabonese player to earn the title and would be the third LAFC player to capture a Golden Boot since the Club's debut MLS debut in 2018.

The Black & Gold are currently ranked second in the West with 51 points and a 14-10-9 (W-L-T) record. The Whitecaps enter the match with 47 points and a 12-10-11(W-L-T) record. Both clubs have clinched berths into the 2023 MLS Cup Playoffs with LAFC securing a top-four position in the standings and home-field advantage in the first round of playoffs.
