The Los Angeles Football Club (LAFC) travels to face Sporting Kansas City on Saturday, July 23. Kickoff is set for 5:30 p.m. PT at Children's Mercy Park. (TV: KCOP 13, Estrella TV 62.2; Radio: 710 AM ESPN / ESPN LA app and 980 AM La Mera Mera)
LAFC enters their second duel vs. Sporting KC this season with a 13-4-3 record securing 42 points through the first 20 matches of the season.
Saturday's contest will mark LAFC's 10th road game this season, where the Black & Gold have claimed 16 of 30 points possible.
NEWS & NOTES:
LAFC is 13-4-3 through 20 games played (42 points) leading the league. LAFC is the 6th team in MLS history to have at least 42 points through 20 matches and is one of two teams to have at least 42 points through 20 games multiple times (46 points in 2019).
LAFC returns to the road with a 5-3-1 record (16 points) and are looking to claim their second consecutive road win against a Western Conference opponent.
LAFC defeated SKC 3-1 in their first meeting this season on April 17 at Banc of California Stadium.
LAFC is second overall in MLS in goals scored this season with 40 goals in 20 games played. LAFC has outscored opponents 14-10 (aggregate) when playing on the road, with 10 different players netting goals away from home.
