Dramatic Turnaround at DRV PNK Stadium

Inter Miami will resume regular season action after a thrilling win over Charlotte FC at DRV PNK Stadium in its last MLS fixture on July 16. Inter Miami went down 0-2 before goals by versatile midfielder Robert Taylor, forward Gonzalo Higuaín and winger Emerson Rodríguez turned the proceedings around for the team to claim all three points with a 3-2 home victory. Taylor's goal was his third this campaign and Rodríguez's late winner was the first in his MLS career.

MLS Team of the Week Honors for Higuaín and Gregore

Higuaín and captain Gregore earned MLS Team of the Week honors for week 21 of the season after their influential performances against Charlotte. Higuaín scored the team's second goal in the match to take his season tally to four, while Gregore recorded two assists, raising his overall record in 2022 to three.

On Tuesday, July 19, Inter Miami took a momentary pause in 2022 MLS regular season action to host LaLiga giants FC Barcelona in an electric sold out friendly match at DRV PNK Stadium

Round One Against NYCFC in 2022

Saturday will see Inter Miami and New York City FC meet for the first time in the 2022 MLS regular season and overall fifth time in club history. Inter Miami will aim to claim its first victory over the New York-based side this weekend at Yankee Stadium.

Inter Miami CF Leaders in 2022

Ecuadorian international Leonardo Campana leads Inter Miami in goals in 2022 with eight up to date in the this season, followed by Gonzalo Higuaín with four and Robert Taylor with three.

Midfielder Bryce Duke, meanwhile, leads the team in assists with four, followed Ariel Lassiter and Gregore with three each.

Scouting New York City FC

New York CIty FC, meanwhile, will enter the fixture after a 0-1 win on the road against rivals New York Red Bulls in the team's last match on July 17. So far in 2022, NYCFC have recorded nine wins, four losses and five draws, with Argentine striker Taty Castellanos leading the side with 13 goals and an assist.
