July 22, 2022 - Major League Soccer (MLS)
Chicago Fire FC News Release
CHICAGO (July 22, 2022) - Chicago Fire FC today announced a venue change for the Club's home matches on Saturday, Sept. 10 against Inter Miami CF and on Sunday, Oct. 9 against the New England Revolution. Due to conflicts at Soldier Field with the Chicago Bears' schedule, the Fire's Sept. 10 and Oct. 9 home matches will now be held at SeatGeek Stadium in Bridgeview, Ill.
Per the lease agreement with Soldier Field, the Fire are unable to play games at the venue within five days of a Bears' home game. The Bears are scheduled to play regular season games at Soldier Field on Sunday, Sept. 11 and Thursday, Oct. 13.
Additionally, the Fire's Aug. 28 match against CF Montréal has been rescheduled to Saturday, Aug. 27 at Soldier Field. The match will begin at 7:00 p.m. CT and will be broadcast live on WGN-TV, CF97 Live and Univision Radio.
Ticket Info
All tickets for the Aug. 28 match are valid for the rescheduled date of Aug. 27. For the Sept. 10 and Oct. 9 matches, Season Ticket Holders will receive vouchers on their Chicago Fire FC account that can be applied toward the matches at SeatGeek Stadium or another match at Soldier Field for the 2022 season only. Season Ticket Holders may begin selecting seats with their vouchers through their Chicago Fire FC account on Tuesday, July 26 at 10 a.m. CT.
Tickets will go on sale to the general public on Wednesday, July 27 at 10 a.m. CT through Ticketmaster here. Single game customers who previously purchased tickets through Ticketmaster for Sep. 10 or Oct. 9 will receive a refund from Ticketmaster and can purchase new tickets for the rescheduled matches. All other customers should contact their point of purchase for information regarding their tickets.
Match Info
The Sept. 10 match (WGN-TV, CF97 Live and Univision Radio) against Inter Miami at 7:00 p.m. CT will serve as the Club's annual Kick Childhood Cancer night as part of Childhood Cancer Awareness Month. Kick Childhood Cancer-related events and observations will take place in-stadium, digitally, and on the Club's broadcast throughout the match.
The contest against the Revs on Oct. 9 (WGN-TV, CF97 Live and Univision Radio) will begin at 1:30 p.m. CT and will mark the Fire's final regular season match of the 2022 campaign. Occurring just one day after the Club's 25th anniversary celebration on Oct. 8, the regular season finale will serve as the Club's annual Fan Appreciation Day and 25th Season celebration match.
