Los Angeles FC News Release
Following the most successful season in MLS history, the Los Angeles Football Club (LAFC) announced today 'For Los Angeles', a program to highlight the incredible support from the city as the Club prepares for their 2019 Audi MLS Cup playoff run. In conjunction with 'For Los Angeles', the Club will continue to host several 'Best of LA' activations, player appearances and merch truck stops at local restaurants throughout the city.
'Best of LA' activations will continue this week at iconic LA destinations including Gueleguetza, Wurstkuche, Pink's Hotdogs and Chica's Tacos. The week kicks off with a player appearance by goalkeeper Tyler Miller at Philippe The Original on Monday, October 14. Beginning at 2:00 p.m. PT, Miller will join the staff behind the counter to learn how to make the famous French Dip sandwich. Fans who show up at Philippe the Original in LAFC gear throughout the day on Monday will receive 10 percent off their order.
Additionally, LAFC is encouraging fans to support the Black & Gold by blacking out L.A. street-by-street and block-by-block while wearing LAFC black gear leading up to Thursday's match. LAFC hosts the winner of the Minnesota United FC/Galaxy for the Western Conference Semifinals at Banc of California Stadium. Show starts at 7:00 p.m. PT on Thursday, October 24 and will be broadcast live on ESPN, ESPN Deportes, ESPNLA 710 AM and 980 AM 'La Mera, La Mera'.
