
LAFC Hosts Colorado Rapids in 2019 Regular Season Finale

The Los Angeles Football Club (LAFC) will host the Colorado Rapids in the final regular season contest of the year on Sunday, October 6. With a win tomorrow afternoon, the Club will break the record for most points in one season. LAFC currently sits in first place in the MLS standings with 69 points (20-4-9 record).
The Week 31 matchup at Banc of California Stadium is part of Decision Day presented by AT&T and is scheduled for 1:00 p.m. PT with coverage on YouTube TV, Univision KVMD, ESPN 710 AM, and 980 AM "La Mera Mera'.
Following a 1-1 draw on Sunday in Minnesota, the Club finished its road matches with a league-best eight wins, securing 30 points away from home (8-3-6 record). Forward Carlos Vela tallied his league-best 31st of the season, tying the single-season goals record set by Josef Martinez last year.
Since the All-Star break, the Rapids have posted a record of 7-3-1 and remain in the hunt for a postseason berth. Heading into the last game of the season, Colorado is three points back of 7th place with a 12-15-6 record (42 points).
Earlier this season, the Rapids handed the Black & Gold just their second loss of the year. The 1-0 defeat in Commerce City on June 28 snapped LAFC's longest unbeaten streak of the year (8 matches).
