New England Revolution News Release

FOXBOROUGH, Mass. - The New England Revolution (11-10-12, 45 pts. - 7th place) will conclude the 2019 MLS regular season on Sunday, October 6 at Atlanta United FC (17-12-4, 55 pts. - 2nd place) on MLS Decision Day presented by AT&T. The match at Mercedes-Benz Stadium kicks off at 4:00 p.m. ET, synchronized with all of the other MLS contests on the league's final matchday before the Audi 2019 MLS Cup Playoffs, and will be televised locally on New England Cable News (NECN), with Brad Feldman and Paul Mariner calling the action. The match is also available to authenticated subscribers on the NBC Sports app, as well as on the radio on 98.5 The Sports Hub HD2 and in Portuguese on 1260 AM Nossa Radio.

Fresh off of a playoff-clinching win against Eastern Conference leaders New York City FC last Sunday, the Revolution have an opportunity to advance as high as sixth place in the Eastern Conference with a win at Mercedes-Benz Stadium. The club will close out the campaign on an incredible run of form dating back to May, with only two losses in the last 21 contests, and only one loss in the last 10 away games. The team's confidence is high away from home, as the Revs' five away losses are tied for the second fewest in MLS, while the team's 26 away goals are third most in the league.

A few Revolution players are on the verge of individual milestones entering the season's final match. JetBlue Revolution Team MVP Carles Gil, the current leader for the team's Golden Boot Award with 10 goals and 14 assists, looks to continue his climb up the league assists chart, where he ranks fourth. Gil, a favorite for the MLS Newcomer of the Year Award, is also poised to become the second Revs player to start all 34 games in a season. If his attacking counterpart Gustavo Bou scores one more goal, he will give New England a pair of 10-goal scorers for the third straight year, and sixth time in club history. Meanwhile, Matt Turner will aim to raise his saves percentage of 76.2 percent (2nd in MLS) to edge out Portland's Steve Clark (77.1) for the league lead.

Following Sunday's regular season finale, the Revolution will return to postseason action for the first time since 2015, traveling to face either Atlanta United or the Philadelphia Union in Round One of the Audi 2019 MLS Cup Playoffs. The date, time, and opponent for that playoff opener will be determined by Sunday's results. Click here to view all of the Revolution's Round One matchup scenarios.
