SEATTLE, WASH. - Sounders FC today announced that six additional players have been called into international duty: Xavier Arreaga (Ecuador), Jordy Delem (Martinique), Joevin Jones (Trinidad & Tobago), Brad Smith (Australia), Gustav Svensson (Sweden) and RomĂ¡n Torres (Panama) will all join their respective national teams following Sunday's match vs. Minnesota United FC (1:00 p.m. PT / JOEtv, YouTube TV, Univision-Seattle, 950 KJR AM, El Rey 1360 AM). When combined with this week's U.S. Men's National Team callups, Sounders FC is set to have eight total First Team players on international duty for the upcoming FIFA window.

Arreaga joins Ecuador for a home friendly against Argentina on Sunday, October 13 in Elche, Spain. The defender has three international caps for La Tricolor, including starts in both U.S.-based friendlies last month.

Delem and Jones join Martinique and Trinidad & Tobago, respectively, for a pair 2019-2020 CONCACAF Nations League Group Stage matches, each against Honduras. Jones and the Soca Warriors first face Honduras on October 10 in Trinidad, before Delem leads Les Matinino in a road match at Honduras on October 13.

Smith has been called into Australia for a pair of 2022 FIFA World Cup Qualifiers, as the Socceroos continue through the Group Stage in AFC Qualifying. Australia first hosts Nepal in Canberra on October 10 before traveling to Kaohsiung to face Chinese Tapei on October 15.

Svensson has been named to Sweden's roster for a pair of upcoming UEFA Euro 2020 Qualifying matches. The BlĂ¥gult travel to face Malta on October 12 before hosting Spain October 15. Sweden is currently second with 11 points (3-1-2) in Group F, seven points shy of first-place Spain.

Torres is set to join Panama for a CONCACAF Nations League match vs. Mexico at Estadio Azteca on October 15. This marks Torres' first call-up since the 2019 CONCACAF Gold Cup this summer.

Following a 1-0 road win on Sunday at San Jose, Sounders FC (15-10-8, 53 points) hosts Minnesota United FC (15-10-8, 53 points) on Sunday, October 6 at CenturyLink Field (1:00 p.m. PT / JOEtv, YouTube TV, Univision-Seattle, 950 KJR AM, El Rey 1360 AM). Seattle is tied with Minnesota for second place in the Western Conference ahead of Sunday's Decision Day matchup between the two sides to conclude the 2019 MLS regular season. Home field advantage in the postseason is on the line on Decision Day, as teams one through four in each conference are assured to play at home in the single-elimination 2019 Audi MLS Cup Playoffs.
