
LAFC Falls 3-0 to Rival Galaxy Sunday Night at Dignity Health Sports Park

The Los Angeles Football Club (LAFC) fell to crosstown rival Galaxy 3-0, Sunday night at Dignity Health Sports Park.
LAFC threatened throughout the first half with several dangerous chances and outshot the Galaxy 14 to 1, but after a scoreless first half, it was the Galaxy who struck first.
Christian Pavon opened the scoring in the 52nd minute and then a minute later, Mark Anthony Kaye was issued the Club's first straight red card of the season, putting LAFC down a man for the final 37 minutes. The Galaxy added to their lead in the 73rd minute on a goal by Sebastian Lletget. Lledget added his second and final goal of the match in the 83rd minute.
With the loss, LAFC drops to 7th place in the Western Conference with a 3-3-3 record (12 points). Next up for the Black & Gold is Real Salt Lake on Wednesday, September 9 at 6:30 p.m. PT at Rio Tinto Stadium (YouTube TV, Estrella TV, ESPN LA 710, ESPN App, 980 AM).
