
LAFC Draws NYCFC 2-2 in First Road Match of the Season

The Los Angeles Football Club (LAFC) tied NYCFC 2-2 on Sunday afternoon at Yankee Stadium, extending the Club's unbeaten streak to three matches.
NYCFC struck first through midfielder Alexandru Mitrita, before Carlos Vela answered back with a goal in the 43rd minute, assisted by forward Latif Blessing. The home team would go up again in the second half with a goal by midfielder Alexander Ring in the 62nd minute. The Black & Gold earned a PK from a foul on Latif Blessing. Vela took the kick and scored, recording his second of the match and third of the season, bringing the score to 2-2.
LAFC will defend the Banc next Saturday, March 23 against Western Conference side Real Salt Lake. Kickoff is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. PT (YouTube TV, Univision KVMD, ESPNLA 710 AM, 980 AM) at Banc of California Stadium.
With today's draw, the Club sits in second place in the Western Conference with a 2-0-1 (7 points) record.
