
LAFC Claims 3-1 Win over FC Dallas

In a battle between two of the top teams in the MLS Western Conference, LAFC earned a 3-1 win over FC Dallas in front of a capacity crowd at Banc of California Stadium. Danny Musovski gave the home side a 1-0 lead midway through the first half before Cristian Arango and Mahala Opoku tallied second half goals to clinch the win for LAFC.
LAFC has now won each of its last three home games and are unbeaten in their last five league games, taking 13 of a possible 15 points in that time. For the season, LAFC is now 11-3-3 for a league-best 36 points, leaving them seven points clear in the race for the Supporters' Shield.
The Black & Gold will be back in action on Saturday, July 2 when they head north of the border to take on Vancouver Whitecaps FC. That game will kick off at 7 p.m. PT and will be broadcast locally on KCOP13 and Estrella TV. It will also be available on the radio on ESPN 710 AM, ESPN LA App, and 980 AM La Mera La Mera.

With the win, LAFC is now 7-1-2 at home this season for 23 of the club's MLS-best 36 points.
LAFC is now halfway through the 2022 MLS season. The club's 11 wins, 36 points and 35 goals scored are all best in MLS. The Black & Gold are the only club in the league to average more than 2 points per game to this point of the season.
LAFC is now 11-0-1 when scoring two or more goals.
LAFC is now a perfect 6-0-0 when scoring three or more goals this season. No other club has scored three or more goals in as many games this season.
LAFC is now 4-1-2 all-time against FC Dallas including 3-0-1 at Banc of California Stadium.
With the three goals tonight, LAFC has now scored in 35 consecutive regular season home games, equaling the third longest streak in MLS history.
Danny Musovski's 23rd minute goal was his second of the season and first since April 24 when he scored a second half game-winner against FC Cincinnati.
Jose Cifuentes was credited with the assist on Musovski's goal, giving him four on the season, which are the second most on the club.
Cristian Arango scored the game-winning goal in the 57th minute. That was his sixth goal of the season, leaving him tied for the team lead.
Arango has now scored in each of the last four games with LAFC going 3-0-1 in those games.
Arango's goal was the 20th of his MLS career. He is now the fourth player in LAFC history to score 20 goals, joining Carlos Vela, Diego Rossi and Adama Diomande.
Mahala Opoku finished the scoring for LAFC in the 86th minute with his fourth goal of the season and first since May 7.
Opoku, who entered the game in the 71st minute, now has two goals as a substitute this season. An MLS-best 12 of LAFC's 35 goals this season have come from substitutes.
LAFC have a goal from a substitute in nine of the club's 17 games this season.
Carlos Vela was credited with assists on each of LAFC's second half goals. He now has a team-best six assists to go along with his six goals in 16 games this season.
His six assists are tied for the seventh most in MLS this season.
Kellyn Acosta was credited with an assist on Arango's game-winning goal, for his first assist of the season, and first since joining LAFC.
Eddie Segura played the final three minutes of the game, making his first appearance of the season. He had been out since July 2021 while recovering from knee surgery. He has now played 72 regular season games for the club, the sixth most in club history.
