
CF Montréal Rallies past Seattle

SEATTLE, Washington - CF Montréal overcame a one-goal deficit to defeat Seattle Sounders FC 2-1 on Wednesday night at Lumen Field.
An early goal in the third minute of the game by Jordan Morris initially gave the Sounders the lead, but forward Mason Toye, a first-time starter since August 14, 2021, scored a brace (18', 62') to give Montreal the three points. Forward Kei Kamara collected an assist on both goals.
Montreal picked up its fourth road win of the season, tying an MLS Club record, and moved into first place in the Eastern Conference with 29 points.
For Seattle, it was the team's first loss at Lumen Field since April 16.
CF Montréal will conclude its West Coast trip by visiting the LA Galaxy this Monday, July 4 at 10:30pm at Dignity Health Sports Park (TVA Sports, TSN, 91.9 Sports, TSN 690).
GAME NOTES
-Goalkeeper Sebastian Breza played in his 25th MLS match.
-Kamara played the 375th game of his MLS career. He becomes the ninth player to reach that milestone in league history.
