Los Angeles FC News Release
The Los Angeles Football Club (LAFC) and Banc of California Stadium today announced "Embrace the Space," a comprehensive program to ensure the safety of staff, guests and players upon return to Banc of California Stadium. The progressive plan includes enhanced sanitation procedures, facility enhancements and updated staff protocol.
"As we work to embrace the new normal, LAFC and Banc of California Stadium are committed to going above and beyond the industry standard to create an extraordinary experience for our guests," Banc of California Stadium General Manager Michael Alperstein said. "The Embrace the Space program is a highly progressive plan specifically designed to do just that, offering a safe, clean and comfortable space for memorable experiences in the heart of Los Angeles."
In anticipation of hosting upcoming matches, special events and concerts, brand-new technology has been implemented throughout Banc of California Stadium including electrostatic sanitation sprayers and contactless thermal scanning. Additional facility upgrades include automatic faucets, soap and paper towel dispensers, flush valves and light switches. Improvements have been made to the Stadium's HVAC system, offering increased filter rating along with added portable air filtration units.
The guest experience, LAFC and CLEAR, the Club's Official Safety Partner, recently teamed up to provide complimentary co-branded face masks and hand sanitizer packets to all future guests, supporters and staff entering Banc of California Stadium. Every stadium attendee will receive a Black & Gold 'fan pack' which includes one mask and two hand sanitizer packets. The masks and sanitizer packets both feature the LAFC and CLEAR logos and will be available in adult and child sizes. Through the partnership, LAFC becomes the first professional sports team to provide free disposable branded face-coverings in a stadium-wide setting.
Additionally, Banc of California Stadium has received GBAC STAR facility accreditation, the gold standard for prepared facilities. This accreditation signifies that a facility has established and maintained an infectious disease prevention program to minimize risks associated with infections gents like the novel coronavirus (SARS-COV-2). Additionally, accreditation from GBAC recognizes a facility's cleaning protocols, disinfection techniques and work practices to combat biohazards and infectious diseases.
