Columbus Crew SC News Release
COLUMBUS - Columbus Crew SC today announced that Season Ticket Memberships for the 2021 Major League Soccer season are now on sale to the general public. Season Ticket Members will receive preferred pricing for Crew SC matches as well as priority access to all events and opportunities surrounding the downtown, state-of-the-art, New Crew Stadium, which is slated to open in July of 2021 in Confluence Village near the Arena District.
Beginning today, fans can schedule an appointment to purchase Season Ticket Memberships via crewstadium.com/booking. All supporters who book an appointment will be offered a virtual tour of the New Crew Stadium, giving them a chance to get a preview of the matchday experience, an overview of the stadium design and the opportunity to view and select specific seats.
"We are thrilled to announce that the general public is now eligible to purchase season ticket memberships for the 2021 MLS season," said Crew SC Executive Vice President and Chief Business Officer Steve Lyons. "Since breaking ground on this world-class facility last October, we have been delighted with the progress of the construction and the momentum of this Club as it is an exciting time for Columbus. To date, we've conducted over 4,500 virtual stadium experiences with season ticket members and there has been an urgency to secure seats. A key focus of the design of this venue is the fan experience and creating a stadium that has something for everyone as an inclusive home for soccer and our community. As we open ticket sales to the general public, this upcoming period marks an incredible opportunity to be a part of a family as our Season Ticket Members are the foundation of this Club."
The Crew's new home - which was built 22 feet below grade to create efficient experience for patrons in the upper and lower bowl - will have a capacity of 20,000 supporters, with canopy covers over every seat. The stadium will also feature an intimate seating bowl experience with close proximity to the pitch, ledge seats offering an unparalleled vantage point to the field, several suites on both the East and West side, as well as field-level VIP experience with seats 16 feet from the pitch adjacent to the team benches.
The New Crew Stadium will boast a public plaza anchored by the CrewHouse - a beer house - as well as an outdoor beer garden on the main concourse directly behind the new Nordecke, the Crew's supporters' stand which is set to be the second largest in MLS. Additionally, the New Crew Stadium will also feature two elevated standing-room only terraces directly above the Nordecke.
The stadium is slated to be completed by summer of 2021. To learn everything the stadium has to offer, fans should visit crewstadium.com. Supporters interested in tracking the development of the stadium may do so via the Construction Cam located on the stadium's website.
