Calgary Stampeders News Release
The Calgary Stampeders host the Edmonton Eskimos in Our House this Monday at 4 p.m. for the ENMAX Labour Day Classic and tickets for the game are still available.
Fans are encouraged to wear red to the game and pack Our House - McMahon Stadium - as Calgary looks to extend its 10-game home-unbeaten streak. The Stamps are 17-4-1 at home under head coach and general manager John Hufnagel.
For those that don't have tickets yet, great seats are still available by contacting Ticketmaster (403-777-0000 or online at Ticketmaster.ca), by visiting any local Safeway or Sport Chek location or by contacting the Stampeders' Ticket Office (403-289-0258 or toll free at 1-800-667-3267).
"It is no coincidence our record at home is what it is," said Stamps president/COO Lyle Bauer. "Our fans make the difference. This is Our House, built by Stampeders fans. When you think of Labour Day in Alberta, you think of the Stamps and Esks in an electric atmosphere at a sold-out McMahon Stadium and this year is sure to be no different. Tickets are still available and we encourage fans to get theirs today and become part of the great tradition and the ongoing legacy of the Red and White."
Prior to Monday's game, the Stampeders will hold a Fan Day at McMahon on Sunday, Sept. 5. Fan Day is an opportunity for fans to watch the first-place Stamps practise, take a tour of the newly renovated locker-room and participate in family activities set up in the south parking lot of McMahon. Following practice, fans are invited to take the field to meet and get autographs from their favourite players, coaches, Stamps alumni and members of the Calgary Stampeder Outriders. Ralph the Dog will also be on hand to greet the Stamps faithful.
Practice begins at 10:40 a.m. and runs until approximately 11:15 a.m. Locker-room tours will take place during the practice and the autograph session will run until approximately noon. Fans are encouraged to check www.Stampeders.com for further event details.
