
Yonus Davis Named Gibson's Finest CFL Special Teams Player of the Month

(Vancouver) The Canadian Football League announced winners of the Gibson's Finest Player of the Month awards this morning with Lions running back Yonus Davis picking up Special Teams Player of the Month honours.
Davis continues to make the most of his opportunity after joining the club's active roster in Week 5, racking up nine carries for 101 yards and a TD, along with 18 punt returns for 118 yards and 16 kickoff returns for 365 yards and one touchdown.
The first-year Leo enjoyed a memorable performance versus Saskatchewan in Week 7, recording five kickoff returns for 133 yards and adding three carries for 84 yards including a 51-yard romp into the endzone.
Gibson's Finest Player of the Month awards are selected by a panel of judges - former Canadian Football League players Matt Dunigan and Duane Forde, now of TSN, and Pierre Vercheval of RDS.
