LOS ANGELES - After playing to a 1-1 draw against Vancouver Whitecaps FC in the 2023 Home Opener at Dignity Health Sports Park on March 18, the LA Galaxy (0-1-2, 2 points) next travel to face the Portland Timbers (1-3-0, 3 points) at Providence Park on Saturday, March 25 (1:30 p.m. PT; FOX, MLS Season Pass on Apple TV, LA Galaxy Radio, LA Galaxy Spanish Radio).
Saturday's match marks the 35th meeting across all competitions between the Galaxy and the Portland Timbers, with LA leading the all-time series 14-13-7. Against Portland, LA holds a 13-11-7 record in league play and a 1-2-0 record in the Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup. In the last meeting between the two clubs, the Galaxy and the Timbers played to a 1-1 draw at Dignity Heath Sports Park on June 18, 2022. In 14 all-time regular-season matches played at Providence Park, the Galaxy hold a 4-7-3 record. Notably, LA is unbeaten in its last four matches in regular-season play against Portland (3-0-1) dating back to July 30, 2021.
