
LA Galaxy Transfer Midfielder Efraín Álvarez to Liga MX Side Club Tijuana

LOS ANGELES - The LA Galaxy today announced that the club has transferred midfielder Efraín Álvarez to Liga MX side Club Tijuana.
"We want to thank Efraín for his commitment to the LA Galaxy for the past seven plus years", said LA Galaxy Head Coach and Sporting Director Greg Vanney. "Efrain has left a special impact on the club progressing through the academy, Galaxy II and the first team and we wish him and his family all the best in this next step of his career."
A product of the LA Galaxy Academy, Álvarez, 21, tallied eight goals and 16 assists in 102 appearances (48 starts) across all competitions in five seasons with the LA Galaxy (2019-23). Additionally, the Los Angeles, Calif., native tallied 13 goals and four assists in 20 appearances (13 starts) across three seasons played for LA Galaxy II (2017-19) in the USL Championship. At the international level, Alvarez has made four appearances for the Mexico Men's National Team.
