Kyle Smolen Reaches 100 Game Milestone
December 4, 2021 - United States Hockey League (USHL)
Fargo Force News Release
Tonight, December 4, 2021, three year Force veteran Kyle Smolen will skate in his 100th regular season USHL game. Smolen has been with the Force since 2019 and has played a key role for the team both on and off the ice since then.
"Kyle is the epitome of a team player/leader. He started his career as a typical young guy - in & out of the lineup- but he never complained; Just showed up at practice & extra ice session he could to develop his game. He's a very valuable piece to our group this season - he plays in all situations (ES, PP & PK) & can play any forward position. We are very proud of how Kyle has developed his overall game during his years in Fargo. He's a "Swiss Army Knife" kind of player that will be a big contributor to AZ State in the future." said Force General Manager Cary Eades.
The Crystal Illinois native is off to a solid start this season with 2 goals and 5 assists, and is wearing the "A" for the Force this season.
"Kyle is the ultimate leader by example, he plays with so much passion, compete and work ethic each and everyday," commented Force headcoach Scott Langer.
The Force faceoff against the Des Moines Buccaneers tonight at 6:00pm. The game can be streamed live via HockeyTV or follow along via the USHL app!
