
Krestanowich and Oremba Score in 7-2 Loss to Broncos

Regina, Sask. - The Swift Current Broncos downed the Regina Pats 7-2 on Friday at the Brandt Centre.
The Pats had a 2-1 lead after 20 minutes of play before allowing six unanswered goals in the final 40 minutes of action with five Broncos goals in the second stanza.
Aaron Krestanowich opened the scoring for the Pats less than two minutes in, and Sam Oremba gave the Pats a 2-1 lead with a power play goal. Luke Mistelbacher tied the game early in the second and Jakub Dvorak followed up shortly after with the go-ahead goal for his first in the WHL.
Reid Dyck recorded his fourth straight win, allowing two goals on 24 shots. 12 different Broncos players got on the scoresheet, with Clarke Caswell leading the way with three points (1G-2A) and Mistelbacher chipping in with two goals.

1-0 Pats at 1:57 - Aaron Krestanowich (3), assisted by Sam Oremba & Anthony Wilson // Wilson and Oremba crash the net and the puck popped out to Krestanowich who ripped it home to make it 1-0 Pats.
1-1 Broncos at 6:07 - Conor Geekie (32), assisted by Mathew Ward & Clarke Caswell (PP) // Ward's cross-ice pass to Geekie at the bottom of the left circle is one-timed home to tie the contest up at 1-1 on the powerplay.
2-1 Pats at 13:35 - Sam Oremba (19), assisted by Braxton Whitehead & Tanner Howe (PP) // Howe sent a pass to Whitehead at the top of the slot and he ripped a slapshot that Oremba tipped past Dyck to give the Pats a 2-1 lead.
Second Period
2-2 Broncos at 3:40 - Luke Mistelbacher (10), assisted by Ryan McCleary // Mistelbacher got a pass on a partial breakaway and shot a wrister past Huet to tie the game up at 2-2.
3-2 Broncos at 4:47 - Jakub Dvorak (1), assisted by Petr Pavelec & Brady Birnie // Dvorak's shot from the right circle beat Huet five-hole to give the Broncos a 3-2 lead.
4-2 Broncos at 6:01 - Clarke Caswell (18), assisted by Conor Geekie // Geekie carried the puck deep into the Pats zone and found Caswell alone in the slot who buried a shot past Huet's glove to make it 4-2.
5-2 Broncos at 7:50 - Brady Birnie (19), assisted by Rylan Gould & Ty Coupland // Birnie found himself wide open in the slot and fired it past Pyne to extend their lead to 5-2.
6-2 Broncos at 18:12 - Luke Mistelbacher (11), assisted by Josh Filmon (PP) // Mistelbacher's shot from the right circle beat Pyne to extend the Broncos lead to four at 6-2.
Third Period
7-2 Broncos at 7:53 - Josh Filmon (23), assisted by Connor Hvidston & Clarke Caswell // Filmon found himself alone at the right circle and Hvidston hit him with a cross-ice pass and he beat a sprawling Pyne to make it 7-2.
