The Kelowna Rockets will wrap up their season series against the Victoria Royals this weekend with a pair of games on the island. Puck drop is set for 7:05 pm on Friday and 6:05 on Saturday.
The Rockets will be looking to get back in the win column after dropping their last two games. They were last in action on Tuesday, where the Spokane Chiefs came back to take down the Rockets 4-2 at Propsrea Place. Kelowna heavily outshot the Chiefs 42-29, but goaltender Cooper Michaluk made 40 saves to earn the second star of the game. Rockets goaltender Jari Kykkanen stopped 25 of 29 shots fired his way.
The injury-riddled Royals have lost their last six games, they're 1-7-1-1 in their last ten games. They hosted the surging Vancouver Giants on Wednesday, who collected their eighth victory in their last nine games, downing the Royals 5-1. With the win, the Giants jumped the Rockets in the Western Conference standings for sixth place.
Kelowna's next home game is set for Family Day on Monday, February 19 when the Tri-City Americans make their final visit of the season to Prospera Place. Kids (12 and under) tickets are on sale for $10. It will also be a Fan First Menu night at Prospera, which means $2 hot dogs and $5 beer from Lucky Lager.
