New York Boulders News Release
Kevin Krause's hot bat Thursday night was not enough for the Boulders as Rockland lost 8-5 to the Québec Capitales. He went 4-5 with a double, RBI and run scored.
One of Krause's hits and his one RBI of the night came in the top of the fourth as part of a four-run inning for the Boulders. JC Rodriguez, Conor Bierfeldt, Conrad Gregor, Marcus Nidiffer, Krause, Jared McDonald and Mike Montville each reached base that inning to give Rockland a 4-1 lead.
After Québec scored two runs in both the fourth and fifth innings, JC Rodriguez hit a solo home run to tie the game 5-5 in the top of the sixth. The Capitales then scored three more in the bottom of the sixth to sit on top 8-5.
Rockland had bases loaded with two outs in the bottom of the ninth but could not capitalize.
The Boulders play game two of the three-game series at the Québec Capitales Friday at 7:00 p.m.
