Montgomery Biscuits News Release
MONTGOMERY - The Montgomery Biscuits announced today that righthanded reliever Josh Kranawetter has been added to the roster from extended spring training.
The move fills a roster spot for Montgomery vacated when lefthander Mike Prochaska was promoted to Class AAA Durham on Saturday.
Kranawetter, 26, was signed as a free agent by Tampa Bay on June 28, 2004. He had previously spent his minor league career in the Arizona Diamondbacks system, before a brief stint with independent Pensacola.
The native of Chester, Illinois, is coming off a 2005 campaign spent at Class A-Advanced Visalia, where he compiled a 1-4 record and a 6.21 earned run average in 18 appearances coming out of the bullpen.
