Spokane Chiefs News Release
SPOKANE, Wash. - Former Spokane Chiefs Riley Woods and Hudson Elynuik and current Chiefs defenseman Filip Kral are among 32 players named to the Toronto Maple Leafs roster for the upcoming Traverse City Prospects Tournament, as announced by the Maple Leafs on Monday.
The tournament, which is set to take place at Centre ICE Arena in Traverse City, Michigan, serves as showcase for prospects vying to break camp with their respective NHL clubs. Toronto will be competing in the eight-team tournament for the first time when they take to the ice for their opening game Friday, September 6 vs. St. Louis.
Elynuik (245) and Woods (171) rank T-39th and T-89th respectively among all-time Chiefs leaders in games played. Kral, who was Toronto's 5th-round draft selection in 2018, enters his third year as a Spokane Chief in 2019-20.
