Kostitsyn assigned to Hamilton

Montreal Canadiens General Manager Bob Gainey announced today that the team has assigned forward Andrei Kostitsyn to the Hamilton Bulldogs.

Kostitsyn, 20, was recalled by Montreal on December 13. He has played in four games with the Canadiens this season, and recorded one point (1-0-1), scoring his first NHL goal on December 13 against the Phoenix Coyotes.

Kostitsyn has played in 27 games with the Bulldogs this season, collecting 5 goals, 12 assists (5-12-17) and 26 penalty minutes.

Hamilton's next action will take place on Thursday, December 22, when they travel to Cleveland to face the Barons. Game time is 7:05 p.m.

The Bulldogs home game will take place on Friday, December 23, when the Rochester Americans visit Copps Coliseum. Game time is 7:30 p.m. This game can be seen live on Hamilton's Cable 14.
