Bears tangle with Penguins today at Giant Center

The two best teams in the American Hockey League face-off this afternoon in HERSHEY as the BEARS host the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins.

Wilkes-Barre and HERSHEY have both the two best winning percentages and two best point totals entering play today at GIANT Center. The BEARS, trailing by three points in the East Division, enter play today as the hotter of the two teams. HERSHEY has won six straight games and has points in eight in a row. The Penguins lost in regulation Friday to Syracuse 2-1 before winning in a shootout 2-1 over Norfolk one evening ago.

Today's game is the finale of a four-game homestand for HERSHEY. The BEARS head to Grand Rapids Thursday and Chicago Friday before playing Wilkes-Barre/Scranton at Wachovia Arena next Monday night. HERSHEY will return home to face the Albany River Rats Wednesday, December 28.
