Ottawa 67's News Release

Ottawa 67's captain Travis Konecny scored the go-ahead goal mid-way through the third and rookie goalie Leo Lazarev stopped 33 shots in a 3-2 win on Thursday at the Peterborough Memorial Centre.

The victory ended a two-game losing skid for Ottawa as the team returns home for a pair of weekend home games.

Rookie Travis Barron also scored for Ottawa, while Junior C call-up David Pearce notched his first OHL goal in his first OHL game.

Defenceman Mike Vlajkov played his first game for the 67's since a season-ending injury in September of 2013.

Also making Ottawa debuts were overage centre Curtis Meighan and winger Adam Craievich, both acquired in separate trades on Thursday.

The 67's face Windsor on Friday evening at TD Place in a game that will see rookie centre Logan Brown of the Spitfires try to get the best of his father, 67's coach Jeff Brown.

The game begins at 7:30 p.m.
