Fort Wayne, IN --- The Komets announced Tuesday that goaltender Max Strang has agreed to terms and will be returning to the Fort Wayne roster.

Strang, 24, participated in the Fort Wayne training camp prior to the start of the season before joining Bloomington of the SPHL. Strang also shared the season with the Komets and South Carolina. Strang was called up by the Komets in October and served as backup goaltender two games before returning to Bloomington. The rookie goaltender received the call from the Komets again in January and posted a 0-1-1 record (3.73 gaa, .839 spct.) in three Fort Wayne appearances before returning to Bloomington.

Strang was also called up to South Carolina during the months of February and March where he registered a 3-1-2 record (2.83 gaa, .895 spct.) in seven games.

Strang returned to Bloomington and completed the SPHL season with an overall record of 9-13-1 (3.34 gaa, .909 spct.) in 23 games during his stint with the Thunder.

In additional player moves, goaltender Kevin Murdock has been placed on waivers. Murdock was signed last week and made his first pro appearance Friday, March 21, against Gwinnett in Fort Wayne. Murdock stopped all four shots he faced in 11:37 of relief of a 2-1 Fort Wayne win.

The Komets will travel to South Carolina this week for games Friday and Saturday at 7:00 each night. Bob Chase will broadcast the action on Fort Wayne radio WOWO AM 1190 and FM 92.3. The games will also be webcast at www.komets.com Xfinity KometCast.
