Recap of the Week
The Warriors took six of six possible points this week with two wins against the Florida Everblades and a road victory against the South Carolina Stingrays.
Florida started off Thursday's game with a goal :25 into the game. Sean Berkstresser tied the game 1:11 later to begin a string of scoring for the Road Warriors. Andrew Rowe followed Berkstresser's goal with a tally of his own in the first period and scored the only goal of the second period to give the Warriors a 3-1 lead heading into the third period. Florida scored three consecutive goals to grab a 4-3 lead with 4:35 to play in the third period. The Warriors began their comeback with 2:16 left in regulation. Josh Nicholls tallied to tie the game and Mike Marcou scored :59 later to give the Warriors a 5-4 win and a key two points in the battle for an Eastern Conference playoff berth. Jason Missiaen made 27 stops to earn the win.
The excitement and edginess from Thursday's game carried over to Saturday night. The teams traded goals during each of the first two periods to bring the game to a 2-2 tie heading into the third period. Once again, both teams scored in the first 10 minutes of the final period. With 2:10 left, Bretton Cameron scored the final goal of the game to give the Warriors an important 4-3 win. Twenty penalty minutes were handed out in the last four minutes of the game, including fighting majors to Brad Cole and Aaron Bogosian. Jason Missiaen stopped 31 pucks for his 39th win as a Road Warrior, passing Nic Riopel as the franchise's all-time leader.
Greenville came out flying in the final game of last week's three-game set and jumped on the South Carolina Stingrays on Sunday with three goals in a 3:25 second span in the first period. Emerson Clark and Josh Nicholls continued the rout adding two more goals in the second period. Jeff Malcolm's shutout bid was ended late in the second period when Dale Mitchell broke through for the Stingrays. The Warriors protected their 5-1 lead during the third period and completed the six-point sweep for Greenville. Jeff Malcolm made 32 saves for his 11th win of the year.
Week Ahead
The Road Warriors enter another three-game week with two games against the Gwinnett Gladiators and one against South Carolina.
The Road Warriors play on home ice on Friday against Gwinnett. The puck drops at 7:00 p.m.. The team has partnered with Sandlapper Securities to benefit the Center of Developmental Services. $3.00 from each special ticket sold for the Road Warriors March 28 game will go back to CDS. Fans can purchase special CDS Night tickets, here.
Saturday the Road Warriors travel to Gwinnett for a 7:05 puck drop.
The weekend concludes back on home ice on Sunday against South Carolina at 3:00 p.m. Sunday is Family Fun Day! Young fans can enjoy a $5 Kids Meal during the game which includes a hot dog, bag of chips and a small soda. Use your BI-LO BONUSCARD to receive up to four free tickets while supplies last in the BI-LO Family Fun Section when you show your BONUSCARD at the Box Office two hours before game time. Sunday is also the Warriors Pucks & Paws game. Fans can bring their dogs to the game and visit with area rescue and adoption organizations.

Josh Nicholls is on a 13-game point streak (10G, 9A).
Andrew Yogan is in the midst of a seven-game point streak (2G, 7A).
Michael St. Croix had his six-game road point streak snapped on Sunday.
Sean Berkstresser has scored six points (3G, 3A) in the past five games.
The Road Warriors are 18-7-2 since January 17th.
The Road Warriors are ranked fourth in the Eastern Conference with an average of 2.71 goals against per game.
The Road Warriors penalty kill on the road is best in the ECHL with a 90.6%.
Transactions
Defenseman Gentry Zollars and Matt Bruneteau joined the Road Warriors last week.
Forward Alexandre Carrier was released on Tuesday.
