Aces Reassigned F Brendan Connolly from Abbotsford

ANCHORAGE, Alaska - The Alaska Aces, proud ECHL affiliate of the Calgary Flames of the National Hockey League, announced today that veteran forward Brendan Connolly has been assigned to the Aces from the Abbotsford Heat of the American Hockey League.

Abbotsford is the AHL affiliate of Alaska and Calgary.

Connolly, 28, is currently fourth in Aces scoring with 46 points (20g-26a) in 46 games, additionally collecting 103 penalty minutes and a +14 rating. He is the Aces leader in power play goals (8), tied for second in power play points (16), third in goals (20) and tied for second in game winning goals (4).

The 5-foot-8, 185 pound forward has a goal and an assist in six games with Abbotsford this season. He has skated in 263 career ECHL games with 251 points (109g-142a), 526 penalty minutes and a +82 rating with Alaska, Greenville and Elmira.

Connolly is expected to join the Aces by Friday's road game against the Las Vegas Wranglers, starting at 6:05 p.m.

The Aces return to play tonight at 6:00 p.m. (KFQD) at Rabobank Arena, visiting the Bakersfield Condors.
