Stockton Thunder News Release
Stockton, Calif. - The Stockton Thunder, proud ECHL affiliate of the NHL's New York Islanders and AHL's Bridgeport Sound Tigers, have been assigned forward Adam Brace from the AHL while forward Ben Rosen has been called up to Bridgeport, Head Coach and Director of Hockey Operations Rich Kromm announced Tuesday.
Rosen, 25, was assigned to the Thunder from Bridgeport on September 28th and has played in 49 ECHL games posting 6 goals and 9 assists. The Syosset, NY native has helped out the team playing as a defenseman when the Thunder have needed someone to fill the void on the blue line. Rosen played in one AHL game for the Sound Tigers last season after finishing a four-year college career at Boston University.
Brace, 25, returns to the Thunder for the second time this season. The forward from Cobden, ON was acquired by Bridgeport from the San Antonio Rampage earlier this season in exchange for defenseman Mike Dalhuisen. Brace tallied 8 points in 10 games with the Thunder after being sent down and had 1 goal and 1 assist in two games in his most recent stint in the AHL.
It was the second trip to the AHL for Brace who started the 2013-14 season with the Charlotte Checkers, before being traded to San Antonio for former Thunder player Philippe Cornet. The rookie forward has now played 12 career games in the AHL with 8 points.
The Thunder play four games this week, starting with a Wednesday night contest against the Idaho Steelheads at 7:00 p.m. PST. The game is another Family Day presented by Sutter Gould and 99.3 FM KJOY. Fans can purchase a four pack of Upper End Zone tickets with vouchers for four sodas and for hot dogs for just $38. Those who purchase the deal online will receive a Thunder hat at no extra charge. For more information visit StocktonThunder.com.
