Komets single game tickets go on sale Saturday, September 25th

Fort Wayne, IN --- The Komets announced today that single-game tickets for all Komet home games for the 2004-05 season will go on sale this Saturday, Sep. 25, at noon at the Coliseum Ticket Office and at TicketMaster.com.
Single-game ticket prices range from $4.00 for children in the upper deck to $18.00 for adults in the lower arena. Group tickets are also available and orders will be taken all season long at the Komet office at discounted rates. Ticket information is available at the Komet's official website at www.komets.com or by calling the Komet office at (260) 483-0011.
The Komet's 2004-05 regular season campaign gets underway on the road Friday, Oct. 15 at Elmira at 6:30pm (Fort Wayne time). The Komets will start the season with 4 road games before their home opener Saturday, Oct. 23 against the Flint Generals at 7:30pm.
The Komet's exhibition game tickets will also go on sale this Saturday for the two pre-season home tune-ups scheduled. Tickets will be $5.00 for upper deck, $7.00 for upper arena and Pepsi Zone and $10.00 for lower arena. Children tickets (11 and under) will be $5.00 anywhere. The Komets will host Kevin Kaminski's Missouri River Otters Wednesday, Oct. 6 at 7:30pm and then will face the visiting Kalamazoo Wings in exhibition action Friday, Oct. 8 at 8pm. The Komets will skate their final exhibition game of the pre-season at Kalamazoo Saturday, Oct. 9 at 6:30pm (Fort Wayne time).
Komet Camp 2004 begins Oct. 4.....the Komet's training camp for 2004 will start on Monday, Oct. 4 at the Memorial Coliseum in Fort Wayne and run for 2 weeks. During the camp the Komets will skate 3 exhibition games, as noted above. Training camp will officially get underway with the annual Komets season opening press luncheon on Monday, Oct. 4, at noon at the coliseum. More details will be announced later next week.
Komets add 2 to camp roster.....2 players have been added to the Komet Camp roster. Forward Jason Silverthorn has inked an agreement and defenseman Ben Barrett has accepted an invitation to the Komet's training camp. Sliverthorn, 25, skated his first pro season last year in stints with Winston-Salem (SEHL, 33gp, 13g, 31pts, 18pim) and San Angelo (CHL, 13gp, 2g, 6pts, 6pim). Silverthorn played 4 seasons in the NCAA with Elmira College from 1999-2003. Barrett, 25, completed a 5-year stint with the University of Toronto (CIS) last season. The addition of Silverthorn and Barrett brings the Komet roster to 24 players including 13 forwards, 8 defensemen and 3 goaltenders.
