FURY HOTLINE PRESENTED BY PEPSI will mark its return for an unprecedented 10th consecutive year next MONDAY NIGHT, SEPTEMBER 27TH FROM 7:00 PM â 9:00 PM on the Fury's flagship home of WEFG-FM, "KICKIN' COUNTRY 97.5." Once again, for a ninth consecutive year, the Fury weekly program will be presented live from RACQUETS DOWNTOWN GRILL, downtown Muskegon.
Having maintained its community-wide high-visibility and high-profile as âthe best two hours of Muskegon area radio," FURY HOTLINE PRESENTED BY PEPSI, again, will be programmed every Monday night with the championship Fury players, management personnel, UHL officials and many other hockey-related personalities and dignitaries among the many varieties of featured guests.
This coming Monday night, the program will present a sneak-peek preview of the rapidly-approaching 2004-05 title-defending season as Fury Team Owner and Club President TONY LISMAN will be the show's very special guest. The only ever 4-time recipient of the UHL Executive of the Year Award as well as the only-ever owner of the Fury and longest term owner in the UHL, Lisman will discuss the exciting plans that his organization has in-store both on and off the ice for the rapidly-approaching 2004-05 campaign as the Fury seek their third league championship in four seasons and their fourth in six calendar years.
Under his astute auspices and visionary leadership, the Fury have achieved the distinction of the UHL's best winning team, both in regular season and playoff post-season competition; amassing 490-victories in the regular phase and another 68-more in the playoffs. Moreover, with Lisman at the helm, the Muskegon franchise has attained playoff status and finished each season with winning records in all 12 of the previous years. Their .620 win percentage represents the foremost in all of minor pro hockey. Last season, the Fury set or equaled 44 team and/or UHL records, including an electrifying, playoff perfect 11-0 surge to their most recent title, actually winning a club record 14-games in a row to climax the campaign with a ringing crescendo.
