
Komets Jersey Auction Nets $26,700

Fort Wayne Komets News Release
Fort Wayne, IN --- The UHL Champion Fort Wayne Komets held their annual end-of-season party and jersey auction tonight and set a new record for jersey auctions since joining the UHL in 1999. $26,700 was raised in an auction of 25 jerseys worn during the 2002-03 season and a complete player photo set topping the previous high of $13,435 raised at the end of the 2000-01 season. A portion of the proceeds will be donated to a charity of choice.
Sean Venedam's #13 jersey fetched the most at an even $2,000. David-Alexandre Beauregard's #10 and Ryan Severson's #18 jerseys each went for a 2nd highest $1,900. Komet captain Colin Chaulk's #91 and regular season leading goal scorer Bobby Stewart's #7 each sold for a 3rd highest amount of $1,650.
