Fort Wayne, IN --- The Komets announced the following player moves Thursday:
Forward Aaron Clarke has been traded to Fort Wayne by Orlando. Clarke, 31, began the season appearing in 25 games with Kalamazoo before being traded to Toledo where he registered 13 goals and 19 points in 26 games. Clarke is skating his seventh pro season and joins the Komets on the heals of scoring points in six of his last eight games with the Walleye (5g, 2a).

The Omaha, Nebraska native amassed three goals, 15 assists and 18 points with the Lakers in 146 games during his college career.
Defenseman Jordon Southorn has been loaned to Portland of the AHL. Southorn leads Fort Wayne defensemen with 10 goals while adding 16 assists for 26 points in 41 games with Fort Wayne this season.
Defenseman Jeremy Gates has been placed on waivers. Gates appeared in 31 games scoring five assists and six points while accumulating 31 penalty minutes.
