Komets Add Two to Roster

Fort Wayne, IN --- The Komets announced today that they have added winger Chad Cabana and defenseman Chris Eade to the Fort Wayne roster.

Cabana, 28, will be making his 2nd stint in a Fort Wayne uniform. The Bonnyville, Alberta native also appeared in 6 games with the Komets during the early portion of the 1997-98 IHL season. Cabana skated 26 games this season with Jacksonville, ACHL, scoring 9 goals and 15 points through games of March 15, 2003. The 2002-03 season is his 8th as a pro since playing 4 seasons in the WHL 1991-1995. Cabana was Florida's 11th choice, 213th overall in the 1993 NHL Entry Draft.

Eade, 20, was the Komet's number 1 pick in the UHL's North American Amateur Draft held March 11. The defenseman is the 2nd player from the Amateur Draft to be added to the Komet roster. Winger Josh Tataryn, chosen in the 4th round, was added Monday, March 17. Eade has skated the last 5 seasons in the OHL. In 57 games this season with Erie, Eade posted 26 assists and 77 penalty minutes. The Etobicoke, Ontario native was Florida's 4th choice, 115th overall in the 2000 NHL Entry Draft.

Komets host Missouri tonight....both Cabana and Eade are in town and may see action tonight when the Komets host the Missouri River Otters at 7:35pm. Plenty of good seats remain on sale at the Coliseum Ticket Office and online at www.ticketmaster.com. After tonight the Komets host Adirondack Friday at 7:35pm, travel to Flint Saturday night to face the Generals at 7:30, then return home to host the Generals Sunday at 5:05pm.
