Jersey Auction Grosses $32,400 For Charity

Estero, FL - The Florida Everblades held their annual St. Patrick's Day charity jersey auction this past Monday night following their game versus the Greensboro Generals. The Everblades grossed $32,400 during the auction. Net proceeds from the auction will be donated to MDA, Lee & Collier County American Heart Associations, Children's Hospital of SW Florida through the Pelican's in Paradise Art Display and the Jr. Everblades. Everblades captain Tom Buckley's jersey fetched the highest price at $4,100. The entire list of jerseys sold and their amounts are listed below.
Since their inception, the Everblades have donated over $120,000 to local charities through several community outreach programs including the St. Patrick's Day jersey auction. This past season, the Everblades reached several thousand local students through their educational assemblies and reading programs. The Everblades are committed to "Sticking with the Community" in SW Florida. All of these community accomplishments are a result of a dedicated group of owners, players, front office staff, and the generous contributions of the team's sponsors and fans.
The Blades hit the road this weekend and take on the Columbia Inferno on Thursday night at 7:05 PM. Florida then travels to South Carolina to battle the Stingrays on Friday and Saturday night in Charleston, SC at 7:30 PM. The Everblades return home on Tuesday, March 25th to take on the Charlotte Checkers at 7:30 PM.
