Key Transactions

Houston brought in three new players this season. Christian Ramirez came from Los Angeles FC on August 7th via trade. The forward has already scored two goals in six appearances. Winger Niko Hansen was acquired from Columbus Crew the next day. Additionally, right back José Bizama joined from Chilean club Huachipato FC.

Who's Hot

Mauro Manotas leads the Dynamo with 13 goals and six assists on the season. The forward has had a hand in almost half of all Houston's goals. Manotas scored two goals in the U.S. Open Cup Final last season which saw Houston win 3-0.

Team Form

After losing seven out of eight games, Houston parted ways with Head Coach Wilmer Cabrera in mid-August. Former Assistant Coach Davy Arnaud is now leading the team on an interim basis. The Dynamo are 1-1-3 in their last five, however, the Interim Manager Davy Arnaud is unbeaten at home. Houston won their last match at home 2-0 against Minnesota United.

Head-to-Head

City is 1-2-1 against Houston. City has kept three clean sheets against the Dynamo.

Rasmussen College Fun Fact

No City player has scored a goal against Houston even though City won the first-ever meeting in Houston. How did that happen? City's win back in 2015 was a result of an own goal by Houston's goalkeeper Tyler Deric.
