Charlotte Knights News Release
FORT MILL, S.C. - The Charlotte Knights continue to play good baseball as they defeated the Norfolk Tides 5-2 at Knights Stadium. The Knights are now 7-4 against the Tides this season as they move to .500 with a 43-43 record.
Starting pitcher Lucas Harrell earned his 7th win of the season as he pitched 7.0 innings allowing two runs off seven hits. Harrell struck out four in the game lowering his ERA to a 3.27, a team best amongst starting pitchers.
Harrell had plenty of offensive support in the game. Jim Gallagher and Lastings Milledge each homered in the game for the Knights. Milledge, who went 2 for 3 on the night, is now hitting .407 (37-91) over his last 25 games.
Knights relievers Gregory Infante and Josh Kinney each pitched a scoreless inning of relief to close things out for Charlotte. Kinney earned the save, his 11th consecutive. The Knights took three of their last five against Norfolk.
The Knights and Gwinnett Braves begin a two game series tomorrow at Knights Stadium with first pitch scheduled for 7:15 PM. RHP Joe Bisenius will start for the Knights and RHP Julio Teheran will start for the Braves.
