
Knighthawks Toll Scott Evans Named All-Star Reserves

(Rochester, NY)... Rochester Knighthawks Scott Evans and Steve Toll have been named All-Star Game reserves for the East Division. The 2008 National Lacrosse League All-Star Game will take place on Sunday, March 16th at 4:00 p.m. Eastern at Rexall Place in Edmonton.
Scott Evans will play in his second straight NLL All-Star game. Evans is third in the league with 23 goals. He is also 12th overall in the league with 37 points (23+14). The forward is in his fifth season with the Knighthawks. He was Rochester's first-round selection (fifth overall) in the 2003 NLL Entry Draft.
Toll, the 2007 Transition Player of the Year, heads to the All-Star game for the third time as a Knighthawk. He played in the 2006 and 2007 games and now heads to Edmonton. He also appeared in the 2002 NLL All-Star Game and led the North All-Stars to a 14-10 victory over the South. He scored three goals and added one assist en route to Game MVP honors. Toll is currently third in the league with 86 loose balls. He also has two goals and 10 assists in seven games.
The St. Catharines, Ontario, native was acquired by Rochester in 2004 from the San Jose Stealth for a first and second-round pick in the 2005 National Lacrosse League Draft. Toll spent the majority of his 11-year career with the Toronto Rock, where he won championships in 1999, 2000, 2002 and 2003.
Rochester's Ed Comeau will serve as Head Coach of the East All-Stars, while Buffalo's Darris Kilgour will serve as assistant coach. Edmonton's Bob Hamley will serve as head coach of the West All-Stars, while San Jose's Walt Christianson will serve as assistant coach. The four All-Star Game coaches are the head coaches who led their teams to the Divisional Finals last season.
