
Knight Earns \'Top' Honor for On-Field Play

FORT MILL, S.C. - July 9, 2008 - Charlotte Knights outfielder Jason Bourgeois has been selected the Topps International League Player-of-the-Month for the month of June as selected by the league's field managers.
Bourgeois appeared in 30 games for the Knights in June, hitting .393 with 7 doubles, 2 triples, 4 home runs, 13 RBI's, 9 walks, 5 stolen bases and an on-base percentage of .442. Currently, he is 8th in the International League in batting with a .301 average with 7 HR and 30 RBI's on the season.
He was signed as a free-agent by the Chicago White Sox in December 2006. Bourgeois hit a combined .306 in 127 games between Double-A Birmingham and Charlotte in 2007.
