
Buffalo Bisons take on the Syracuse Chiefs

TODAY'S GAME: Tonight, the Buffalo Bisons take on the Syracuse Chiefs in the final game of a five-game home-and-home series at Alliance Bank Park (7:00 p.m.). The series is up for grabs with each team collecting a pair of wins already. On the mound tonight for the Herd will be LHP John Halama. The veteran has won four of his first six starts since joining Buffalo on June 8. Syracuse will go with RHP Mike MacDonald.
HAIL A CABBY: INF Asdrubal Cabrera had a total of five hits in his seven at-bats in last night's doubleheader. Cabrera has posted three consecutive multi-hit games and now has his average up to .333 (40-120) after 29 games with the team. Cabrera has 14 multi-hit games since joining the Bisons on June 11.
HIS GAME: OF Jason Tyner had two hits and a single in four plate appearances last night. Since June 16, the veteran has hit .321 (18-56) with four doubles. Mix in five walks and three hit by pitches and Tyner has a .397 on-base percentage in that span.
FIRST IMPRESSIONS: LHP Zach Jackson picked up in his Bisons debut last night with two shutout innings in game one. RHP Preston Larrison collected his first Bisons' save with two hitless innings in that game. It was Larrison's second game with the team. C Chris Gimenez hit his first Triple-A home run to put away last night's win.
BISONS BITS: INF Jordan Brown is 15 for his last 48 (.313)...The Bisons will return home after tonight to face Louisville in the final 4 games before the All-Star Break.
