
Tides sweep Bulls

Durham, NC - Mike McCoy's first home run of the season in the top of the 9th inning gave the Norfolk a sweep of the four-game set with the Bulls as the Tides knocked off Durham, 7-5 on Wednesday night at the Durham Bulls Athletic Park.
Dan Johnson tied the game for the Bulls in the eighth inning on a two-run homer scoring Elliot Johnson evening the score at 5 apiece, but the Tides came right back with a two-out single by Omir Santos followed by McCoy's towering home run to centerfield.
Durham got runs in the fourth inning on an RBI-single by Nathan Haynes followed by a double steal scoring Joel Guzman and a run in the third inning when Andy Cannizaro scored on an RBI-double by Jon Weber, but the Bulls never led the game.
The game was delayed an hour and six minutes due to rain.
