BRIDGEPORT, CT - The Westchester Knicks, the official NBA G League affiliate of the New York Knicks, avenged Sunday's matchup and defeated the Iowa Wolves, 126-99, at Total Mortgage Arena, Tuesday evening. The win concludes a three-game skid.
Trevor Keels (Two-Way Player) was the high scorer for the Knicks (3-6) finishing with 26 points, five assists, and just one turnover in 35 minutes. Keels shot 9-15 from the field and 5-9 from downtown-his second highest in three-point makes this year. Garrison Brooks (affiliate) registered his fourth consecutive double-double comprised of 21 points and 12 points. He also tied his career-high with seven assists. DaQuan Jeffries (Two-Way Player) scored 23 points-his third straight 20-point game, while grabbing eight boards and four treys.
Iowa (3-7) was led by Josh Minott's 20 points on 8-17 shooting and nine rebounds. Matt Lewis contributed 19 points and five three-pointers. CJ Elleby put up 13 points off the bench.
Westchester led by five at the break, 57-52, after an even scoring first quarter, 28-up. In the first half, the Knicks shot 47-percent from three hitting 8-17 treys contrasting Iowa's lowly 3-15 clip.
The Knicks continued its hot shooting well into the third quarter swishing 50-percent of its attempts from the floor and going 89-percent from the stripe. Iowa shot 44-percent and 50-percent in those respective categories.
In the fourth, Westchester was up by as many as 29 points and from three-point territory shot 63.6-percent. Shooting 30-percent from the field and a poor 15-percent from distance, Iowa was too slow to recover, and the 27-point rout was dealt.
Friday, January 27, the Grand Rapids Gold visit Westchester at 7 PM ET at Total Mortgage Arena.
