2018 NBA G League Winter Showcase

On December 15, the Westchester Knicks (14-5), the official NBA G League affiliate of

the New York Knicks, relinquished its convincing lead in waning time but took overtime,

119-117, over the Grand Rapids Drive (6-8) Saturday evening at DeltaPlex Arena. They

will face the Iowa Wolves in their first game of the 2018 NBA G League Winter Showcase

Wednesday.

On December 15, the Westchester Knicks (14-5), the official NBA G League affiliate of

the New York Knicks, relinquished its convincing lead in waning time but took overtime,

119-117, over the Grand Rapids Drive (6-8) Saturday evening at DeltaPlex Arena.

John Jenkins scored 40 points, his second 40-point game of the season, on 54.2-percent

shooting and drained six triples. Kadeem Allen, whose 4-0 run closed out the victory,

scored 15 points, grabbed eight rebounds and dished four assists. Zak Irvin tallied eight

points, tied a game-high 11 boards and dished a team-high and career-high five dimes.

The Knicks traded a 13-point third-quarter lead for a competitive late fourth quarter.

Billy Garrett free-throws helped carry the Knicks into overtime as Westchester saw the

Drive outscore them 28-21 in the window.

Keenan Evans drained a three to put the Drive ahead in the extra session and a Johnny

Hamilton free-throw kept the Drive up one. However, Allen's pair of free-throws and

runner on back-to-back Knicks' possessions pushed the Knicks ahead for good.

FORTY FORTY CLUB

John Jenkins scored 40 points against Grand Rapids (12/15) which tabbed the second

time this season he scored that much. He tallied 41 points against Lakeland (11/10). On

Saturday, Jenkins netted a career-high 13 field goals, went a perfect 8-for-8 at the

charity stripe, his third most makes at the line this season, and shot 54.5-percent from

downtown
