Knicks Acquire JJ Moore from Available Player Pool
February 20, 2021 - NBA G League (G League)
Westchester Knicks News Release
WHITE PLAINS, NY - The Westchester Knicks, the official NBA G League affiliate of the New York Knicks, announced the acquisition of JJ Moore from the Available Player Pool Saturday afternoon. Moore's signing completes Westchester's roster following the departure of Justin Patton, who inked a Two-Way contract via the Houston Rockets Friday.
Moore, 6'6 215, returns to the lineup for a second season with Westchester. During the 2019-20 season, Moore averaged 12.3 points on 47.2-percent, 4.2 rebounds and 1.1 assists through all 41 games. The forward scored a career-high 27 points on January 27, 2020 versus Raptors 905.
Prior to this season's start, Moore's returning rights were traded to Maine in exchange for the returning rights to Bryce Brown. Due to Maine's nonattendance during the current NBA G League condensed single site season, Moore was added to the league's Available Player Pool. Maine reserves his rights for the next season.
Moore will wear no. 20 for tonight's game vs. Austin but no. 44 thereafter. Tonight's game begins at 7:00 PM ET.
