Kings Recall Vey

LOS ANGELES, CA - The Los Angeles Kings, the parent club of the Manchester Monarchs, have recalled forward Linden Vey from the Monarchs, Kings President/General Manager Dean Lombardi announced today.

This is Vey's fourth recall of the season. The 22-year-old rookie has appeared in 18 games for the Kings this season (his first in the NHL), recording five points (all assists) and zero penalty minutes.

The 6-foot, 189-pound native of Wakaw, Saskatchewan has played in 40 games for the Monarchs this season, recording 44 points (12-3244), 20 penalty minutes and plus-7 rating. His 44 points and 32 assists rank second on the club.

Vey was selected by the Kings in the fourth round (96th overall) in the 2009 NHL Draft.

The Monarchs return to the Verizon Wireless Arena to host the Hartford Wolf Pack at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, April 4.
